Brazil grows exports to Middle East
According to the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, and the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Brazil has developed a “diversification of markets.”

International trade has been impacted by a year of financial crisis, resulting in significant changes in Brazilian agricultural export markets. For example, the Middle East, for example, went from fourth to the third position among main markets, as Asia took over from the European Union as the number one market.

According to the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, from 2008 to 2009, exports to Middle East, as a percentage of total, overall Brazilian exports, rose from 8.4% to 10.6%. Main products exported were poultry and beef, which generated revenues of US$2.71 billion in 2009.
