21 tonnes of beef goods recalled 25 Jun 2009

JBS Swift Beef Co., Greeley meatpacker, on Wednesday recalled almost 21 tonnes of beef sirloin products, according to a report by denverpost.com.
The recall is due to products possibly contaminated with the deadly E.coli O157:H7 bacteria.
 
According to the report, the recall of 41,280 pounds of products includes 11 types of sirloin cuts produced at the company during April 21 and 22.
 
The products are marked with "EST. 969," the meatpacker's government designation, production dates and product codes and the goods have been shipped to distributors and retail outlets in Colorado and 12 other states.
 
There have been no illnesses reported.
