Amcor ReClose for sliced meat range 13 Jan 2010
Ospelt, a leading producer of meat and charcuterie products, has recently introduced Amcor ReClose for their Malbuner sliced meat range. As reclosable packaging is still an unmet need in processed meat.

User friendly
Amcor ReClose responds to the needs for more consumer convenient and environmentally friendly packaging. Its user friendly opening and reclose features ensure product freshness and help to reduce food waste. Amcor ReClose seals to a pure APET base web and offers new opportunities for recycling this monomaterial.
"We continuously strive for innovative and more sustainable packaging solutions. By using Amcor ReClose we help to reduce food waste as our product stays fresher for longer. The reduced thickness of the lidding film results in packaging weight reduction and has therefore a positive impact on CO2 emissions. Futhermore, Amcor ReClose ensures brand recognition of our Malbuner range throughout the products' lifecycle, as the meat does not need to be repacked in plastic boxes or foil," explains Birgitta Farago, Marketing Manager at Ospelt.
Amcor ReClose top web is an ideal solution for fresh products such as sliced meat and cheese, pâté or sandwiches and combines product freshness with consumer friendly opening and reclose features. The film's high transparency ensures excellent product visibility and its puncture resistance and tamper evidence provides further benefits for both retailers and consumers.
