AMI releases COOL brochure 20 Oct 2008
The American Meat Institute has released a new brochure to help consumers better understand the meaning behind country-of-origin labels on meat packages.
This brochure explains new country-of-origin labels mandated by Congres, and details what products will carry labels, as well as what the different labels mean.
The brochure also explains how and why meat is imported and the inspection and food safety rules that are in place to ensure that these products are safe.
