Sealed Air unveils software platform 21 Sep 2009
A powerful new integration solution from Sealed Airs Cryovac brand gives food processors unrivalled control and oversight of their equipment, providing the ability to control and improve productivity and performance, resulting in a sustainable reduction in operating costs.
Cryovac® PakFormance™ integration solutions are a unique combination of hardware, software, equipment and services designed exclusively for the food packaging industry.
By employing the PakFormance™ integration solution, users can monitor key equipment and process indicators to immediately react to deviations and address potential issues, thereby increasing productivity and performance.
The integration solutions were introduced during the Cryovac® Automation & Integration Event, held Sept. 2-3 at the Packforum® Americas facility in Atlanta. The two-day event, which featured workshops and packaging line demonstrations, focused on how automated systems can help improve a company’s bottom line.
Cryovac® PakFormance™ integration solutions bring together automatic in-line weighing, automatic in-line label printing, batch management, tracking through the packaging line and continuous monitoring for process improvement. In addition, PakFormance™ integration solutions have the ability to link Sealed Air’s Cryovac® systems to each other as well as to third party equipment.
Configurable features include powerful analysis, investigation and reporting; real time and historical information for products, process variables, equipment and packaging material; and remote maintenance and support.
“Everybody is worried about costs, and optimising the entire packaging process is one way to make sure every dollar is spent as efficiently as possible,” said Tim Dennison, North American Systems Director, Automation & Integration. “The flexibility of PakFormance™ integration solutions enable configurations to meet every individual’s needs and will allow processors to accurately and effectively measure their performance to ensure process optimization.”
