Standard Weight Spiral belt delivers heavy duty ratings 22 Jun 2009
Ashworth Bros., Inc. has successfully completed testing the New Omni-Pro075 to withstand 150 pounds of tension for 100,000 cycles (competition tests for 50,000 cycles), a rating that only heavy duty belts could deliver - until now.

The strength rating of the Omni-Pro®075 is the highest among all standard weight spiral/turn-curve belts in the industry. The Omni-Pro®075 retains the same design features that allow the belt to minimize cage bar wear, maintenance costs and downtime in the most demanding high-tension spiral applications.
The shorter pitch of the Omni-Pro®075 is ideal for small products and closer transfers. Ashworth now offers the Omni-Pro® design on several belt lines, allowing all customers to take advantage of the many benefits Omni-Pro® provides.
New weld technology has allowed Ashworth to produce cleaner and stronger welds. By eliminating traditional “bridge” welding and utilizing a patented 360-degree weld, Omni-Pro® belts are capable of withstanding the highest loads in thier class, without failure. Unlike a traditional bridge weld, the 360-degree buttonless weld is free from surface imperfections and crevices which improve hygienic characteristics by eliminating bacteria entrapments.
Omni-Pro’s state-of-the-art link design includes a patented “protrusion leg” that prevents welds from contacting spiral cage bars and permits the belt to run smoother with less system wear. Each link is formed with a patented coining process to prevent break-in wear which reduces belt elongation and increases belt life.
Marked by more conveyor belt patents in the industry, Ashworth Bros., Inc. continues innovating conveyor belt technologies to increase efficiency for processing industries. Ashworth utilizes both metals and plastics to engineer conveyor belts that increase throughput and minimize downtime for the most demanding applications.
