Singapore: Abattoir restarts operations after leak 11 Nov 2009

In Singapore, a pig abattoir which was shut for a day on Monday due to an ammonia gas leak, is again operating.
The leak was said to be an accident at the pig abattoir which is reported to be the only one based in Singapore currently.

Indonesian pork will again be on sale from Thursday a report from channelnewsasia.com stated, and pork sellers have found alternatives to the temporary shortfall.

Some stall holders took a break until Indonesian pork supplies start again, other butchers had weekend leftovers for sale.
