US: Agriprocessors to be sold
Heshey Friedman, who heads SHF, is the president of Montreal-based Polystar Plastics, which manufactures packaging for poultry and other meats.

Hearing date
A judge has to approve the deal for the sale to be completed. Bankruptcy Judge Paul Kilburg will take into consideration the motion for the sale deal to take place. A hearing date on the motion has not been set.

Immigration raid
Further reports state that residents in Postville are hoping that the kosher meat plant buyer can re-establish its operations and reputation, following the immigration raid that took place in May 2008. Since then some company officials have faced criminal charges for being involved in employing illegal workers, and also for other alleged violations.
